The context

Far from home, a simple procedure can turn into an uphill battle.

The Ivorian diaspora is large, attached to home, and often faces the same questions: renewing a passport, getting a consular card, sorting out civil status, understanding a nationality procedure. Information is scattered, sometimes contradictory, and consulates are overloaded.

On top of that complexity comes a very real risk: scams that specifically target the diaspora. Fake express services, fake investments, land fraud. Someone promises to go faster, for a payment, and the money vanishes.

AKWABA answers both. Reliable, sourced information for the procedures, and active vigilance against fraud. All of it where people already are: on the Web and on WhatsApp.

Two verticals

Guiding the procedures, and the desire to invest.

Consular services

Passport and travel document, consular card, residence permit, civil status, nationality, legalization and power of attorney, appointment booking, case tracking. The goal: ease the load on consulates and make information reliable.

Invest

Guidance toward pre-vetted SME opportunities via the CEPICI one-stop shop, and an introduction to an economic advisor. Investing back home, with confidence.

What sets it apart

Six design choices built around trust.

01

Multi-model routing

Every request is routed to the right AI model based on its sensitivity: fast reply, legally risky topic, quality escalation or synthesis. The right intelligence for the right question.

02

Trustworthy knowledge base

Hybrid search, semantic and lexical, with cited sources. AKWABA gives the documents required, the fees and the concrete steps, not generalities.

03

Anti-scam shield

Land, fake visa, fake job offer, Mobile Money, fake investments. AKWABA flags the frauds that target the diaspora before any payment.

04

SOS detection

Identifies situations of distress across four levels and triggers an emergency protocol to a human agent. No one is left alone facing a serious situation.

05

Long-term memory

AKWABA remembers the context of your cases from one conversation to the next. You never start over from scratch.

06

Human handoff

A consular agent can take over the conversation live, then hand it back to the assistant. AI and humans working together.

Inside the conversation

A concrete answer, and a warning at the right moment.

AKWABA does more than reply. It cites its sources, prepares the next step, and detects scam signals before you pay anything. On the Web just as on WhatsApp.

Hello. How do I renew my Ivorian passport from Paris?
Diaspora · Paris
Akwaba. Renewal is handled at the consulate you depend on. Documents to prepare: your old passport, an up-to-date consular card, two ID photos and the application form. Would you like me to check which consulate covers you and set up the appointment?
AKWABA
Yes. An agent offered me an express service for a Mobile Money payment, is that reliable?
Diaspora · Paris
Be careful. The consulate never charges an individual for an express service via Mobile Money. This is a known scam pattern. Do not pay anything. I can point you to the official channel and flag this contact.

The anti-scam shield

Protecting before the money is gone.

The frauds that target the diaspora follow known patterns. AKWABA recognizes them and warns the moment a message looks like a scam attempt, before any payment.
